Sharpen your math skills with fun challenges! Choose your level and start practicing.
Great effort! Keep practicing to improve.
Regular math practice for students works best in short, focused sessions, and a few minutes a day is often enough. This free tool gives you a timed set of addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division problems at a level you choose. Answer each question before the countdown ends, get feedback right away, and finish with a score, a streak, and a total time. Parents and teachers can use it as a quick warm-up, with no sign-up and nothing to install.
Five operation choices — addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, or mixed operations.
Ten number ranges — from Easy (numbers 1–10) up to Ultimate (numbers 1–100).
Flexible session length — choose 5, 10, 15, or 20 problems.
Countdown for every question — from 10 seconds at the lowest range to 33 seconds at the highest.
Submit or Skip — type an answer and click Submit or press Enter, or skip to see the answer.
Instant feedback — a correct answer is confirmed, and a wrong one shows the right answer.
Progress and streak tracking — a progress bar, a “Problem X of Y” counter, and a five-dot streak indicator.
Results screen — score percentage, number correct, total time, best streak, and badges.

Pick an operation, a difficulty, and a problem count from the three dropdown menus.

The first problem appears and its countdown begins.

Enter a number in the answer box, then click Submit or press Enter.

You will see whether you were right. After a short pause, the next problem loads automatically.

After the last problem, the results screen shows your score, correct answers, total time, and best streak.
Stuck on a question? Click Skip to see the answer and move on. If the timer reaches zero, the question is marked as skipped and the next one appears. Skips and timeouts both count as not correct and reset your streak.
Your score is the number of correct answers divided by the number of problems, shown as a percentage in the circle. Wrong answers, skipped questions, and timeouts all count the same way: they do not add to your score.
A streak is a run of correct answers in a row. The five dots light up as the run grows, and any wrong answer, skip, or timeout resets it. “Best Streak” on the results screen is the longest run from the whole session. “Time Taken” is the total time for the session, including the short pause after each answer.
At the end you get a message based on your score: 90% or higher earns “Mastermind!” with a confetti celebration, 70% to 89% earns “Great Job!”, and anything lower shows “Good Effort!”. Three badges can appear: Perfect Score for 100%, 5+ Streak for five correct answers in a row, and Speed Demon for finishing in under 30 seconds.
Ready to move past basic operations? The Fraction Calculator introduces the next math skill kids typically build on after mastering addition and subtraction.
Once whole-number arithmetic feels easy, working with multiples and factors in the LCM & GCF Calculator is a natural next challenge.
Getting faster at these problems isn’t an accident — it’s what researchers call math fact fluency, the ability to recall basic facts quickly so the brain has more room left for harder problems.
The range you pick sets the size of the numbers in each problem, and higher ranges give you more time per question:
| Number range | Time per question |
|---|---|
| 1–10 | 10 seconds |
| 1–20 | 12 seconds |
| 1–30 | 15 seconds |
| 1–40 | 18 seconds |
| 1–50 | 20 seconds |
| 1–60 | 22 seconds |
| 1–70 | 25 seconds |
| 1–80 | 28 seconds |
| 1–90 | 30 seconds |
| 1–100 | 33 seconds |
Addition and multiplication use two random numbers from your range. Subtraction is always arranged so the answer is zero or higher. Division always divides evenly: the answer comes from your range and the divisor is between 2 and 10, so every answer is a whole number. Mixed Operations picks one of the four types at random for each question.
Each question has its own countdown at the top of the practice screen. It starts at 10 seconds for numbers 1–10 and grows to 33 seconds for numbers 1–100. The number turns red in the last three seconds. If it reaches zero, the question is marked as skipped and the next one appears.
Yes. Only correct answers count toward your percentage, so skips, timeouts, and wrong answers all lower it equally. They also reset your streak.
No. Subtraction is always arranged so the answer is zero or higher, and division problems always divide evenly, so every answer is a whole number.
No. The tool does not store your answers or scores, and it does not ask for a name or email. Clicking Practice Again reloads the page and starts fresh.
Begin with numbers 1–10, a single operation, and 10 problems. Once you score 90% or higher most of the time, move up one range or switch to Mixed Operations.
It measures the whole session, including the short pause after each answer, so it will always be a bit longer than your typing time.
Yes. Ten number ranges, from 1–10 up to 1–100, and five operation choices let one tool suit a beginner and a confident student alike. Start at the lowest range and move up as your scores improve.
