Three options appear after upload — Medium (selected by default), High, or Low. Medium balances quality and size. High gives maximum compression with reduced quality. Low preserves the best quality with moderate size reduction.

The tool renders each PDF page onto an HTML canvas element, converts it to a JPEG image using your selected quality setting, then rebuilds a new PDF with those compressed images embedded. The compressed output is exclusive to your browser session. The compressed files will be gone if you close or reload the page, so you’ll have to compress again.
